Here's my belly shot from this week. I feel like I'm HUGE compared to last week. Maybe I just ate beforehand. Who knows!

14 weeks
Well, It's been a rather eventful week.
On Sunday I started to feel a pain in my right side, about two inches below my belly button and six inches (or so) to the right. It was not the funnest pain ever but I ignored it. On Monday the pain was still there so I called my ob/gyn and they said to make an appointment. I ended up having Megan take me to the appointment because Nathan has school and my car was pretending to be getting fixed. So we get in the room and wait. Finally the Nurse Practitioner comes in and after poking around for a little bit checks for the heartbeat. She had a little bit of a hard time finding it until I told her where I usually find it (thank you doppler! :D ) She said that there was a possibility that my pain was from my appendix, but since I wasn't experiencing most of appendicitis symptoms (fever, chills, and severe nausea) she suggested that maybe it was an ovarian cyst and that she thought we should do an ultrasound. I was kindof excited!
My first ultrasound!
Boo to the possible cyst, but yay baby! Well we had to wait a little bit so I called Nathan to keep him updated. When he heard that I was going to have an ultrasound he called his brother to come bring him over to the ob/gyn since his scooter was with the other brother. But then they called my name and so I had Megan call Nathan and tell him it was too late. Sniff sniff. But it was good. The baby was measuring a few days ahead of schedule (YAY!) and they couldn't find any cysts. So basically they told me that if I got any of the appendicitis symptoms to head over to the ER, but all I could do was wait. The pain isn't really there now, so it must have been a fluke. But at least I got an ultrasound out of all this!

The heartbeat was 155.
My other excitingness is that I bought a cradle. Thanks to my friend Pam who had a friend who was selling it. My plan is to strip the paint and then stain it to whatever color the rest of the furniture ends up being. Maybe. We will use the cradle mostly before we move to wherever Nathan gets a job (hopefully at the end of April. Please, please, please!)
Inside. Cute, right?
And last but not least, my 14 weeks picture:
Cool things about baby this week according to What to Expect When You're Expecting:
Now the size of your clenched fist, your baby is more fluid-like in his movements, so he’s no longer doing the jerk every time he repositions his arms and legs. Other developments this week include a roof of his own (inside his mouth, that is) as well as intestinal activity: His intestines are producing meconium (which is the waste that will make up his first bowel movement after birth). He is also sporting a downy coating of hair (lanugo) that keeps him nice and warm. Not to worry — you won't give birth to a monkey; baby fat will accumulate over the next few months and take over the function of keeping your baby warm and toasty —allowing most of that hair to shed.

13 Weeks
Wow. Yesterday was quite eventful! Well... a little eventful. I recently ordered a home fetal doppler from babybeats.com.It was supposed to come yesterday. I basically waited on eggshells. I didn't want to leave the house in case I was supposed to sign for it. I didn't want to nap in case I didn't hear the doorbell. It was lame, basically. Well it finally came at 4:30 (I KNOW people get their ups stuff earlier in the day!!! WHY!?!?!) And I was SOOOOO excited! I had a VERY full bladder because I hear it's easier to hear your little ones heart beat that way. So I read all the instructions. Listened to the little informative CD and gave it a whirl. I found it within 10 seconds! (thanks full bladder!) It was amazing! I know we heard it at the doctors office, but it happened so quick! It's hard to remember that I'm pregnant sometimes. I haven't felt that sick and I haven't really gained any weight. So it was a grateful reminder to the fact that a person is growing inside me.
Here is my baby's heartbeat! (ignore the camera sounds. It didn't appreciate having a sock on it and was trying to focus!)

The beginning, Baby Salt style
It all started on July 11. It was a Sunday. And it was going to be 'The Day'. You know? The 'Let's take a pregnancy test because I'm SURE I'm pregnant this time' day. So that's just what I did. It seemed to go well. Well...sortof. This was the result:
Do you see that faint faint faint second line? Needless to say Nathan wasn't quite convinced.
So I waited. And waited. And waited.
And then bought a different kind of pregnancy test. The one that's foolproof. And the result?
HOORAY!!!! We scheduled an appointment at the health center for the next day, just to make sure. And they confirmed it. We were pregnant! HOORAY!!!
So we called our families. For some reason they weren't all that surprised... : )
When I got a hold of my mom she said that she had sent us a package. Before we even told her! It had a baby quilt and some other baby supplies. I guess she just got a feeling!
And then we started taking pictures. They are pretty boring because I'm not really showing... but here they are:
