Weeks 32 and 33

I have did not post last week. Sorry. So here is our life since then. Last week we had a doctors appointment. I'm starting my every two week appointments now! HOORAY! Anyways, everything looked fine. I was measuring right where I should be and the heartbeat was good. Oh, we ordered our stroller too! We were looking at the reward points that we have from our credit cards and I had enough credit to get $77! The stroller was $99, but they were having a promotion that if you spent $100 using pay pal, they would take $25 off. So we got a stroller and some binkies. Well, then the problem was that they didn't have it available within 50 miles of us, nor did they have any available for shipping. So we checked and they have one in Katy. So we just had Nathan's Mom pick it up for us. Hooray her! So now we own this:
I also finished my changing table basket project:
And here is my 32 weeks shot:
We also bought some cute clothes from Target because they were having a huge sale. The first one is the one I think we're bringing her home in!
I love those snowpeople!!!! How cute!!!

Now for this week. I finished another project that I have been working on. I wanted to make a bow holder, but also someplace that I could put the headbands as well. So I had this idea to make something sortof like a clear plastic shoe holder. I think it turned out pretty cute!
And some cute bows that I made this week: (I know, soooooo crafty!)

And here is a gross picture of me at 33 weeks... The shirt is a little too short, but my pants elastic is basically the same color! : )

And that is all. Until next week...

Week 31

Sheesh! How am I this far along already? Nothing too exciting has happened this past week. On Monday, Nathan and I got some maternity pictures taken by this talented photographer. I guess she lost a lot of her pictures that she had on her hard drive and was offering up her services for FREE! Well, I jumped on that! And the few pictures that I've seen so far are ADORABLE! You should check it out! I also finished 1/4 of a project that I'm working on. Remember my changing table? Well it has two shelves that were dying for some baskets. So I'm making some after this idea. Here is the basket that I have finished so far:
It turned out exactly how I wanted it to! Now only 3 to go.... : )

And the picture for this week:
Almost there... ALMOST there!

Week 30!

Wow! Only 10 weeks left to go! How crazy!!! The good news of the week is that... I PASSED! Passed what, you say? Well, Last week I had to get take a screening test for Gestational Diabetes. They make you drink this stuff and an hour later they take your blood. Then they check the sugar levels to see how your body handles sugar. Well, They want you below 140 and I was at 147. So that meant that I needed to have a 3 hour GD test. (BOO!) So I went and took that on Monday. You come in fasting, at 8:30 in the morning..., and they draw your blood. Then you drink the drink and they draw your blood once every hour. Well I just called the doctors and they said I passed! That means that from the time I drank the drink my blood sugar went down enough every hour. Hooray! Phew, that's good news!

Not a lot else has happened in the past week. We took down the crib since we aren't going to actually use it in the month before we leave and now we have LOTS more room in our computer room. I've been working on making hair flowers. Some of them have really worked out well, and some of them....well....haven't. Let's just say I'm not the best flower shape cutter outer...

We got a magazine in the mail the other day from Target saying that if we registered with them that they would give a $20 gift card. Who says no to $20? Not us! So we are going to do that today. I'm excited, Nathan a little less so :)

Here's yesterdays picture:
I'm starting to be ready to have baby Salt out! I enjoy her inside and all...but sometimes the kicking is a little intense. Plus the difficulty breathing and the ever growing stretch marks. I can't wait to hold her!

Weeks 27-29

Nathan and I went to Iowa to see my family for Christmas. We had a really great time. The flight wasn't that bad, although I did use my fair share of airport restrooms... Before we left I had asked my doctor to make sure it was ok for me to fly. He told me that I should wear loose clothes and bring a note saying that I was approved for flying. It wasn't until after I left that I realized that he told me to wear baggy clothing so I didn't look as pregnant. I have no idea what clothing I could wear that would hide my stomach! Luckily no-one had any problem with me flying (especially since I left my doctors note at home :D )

Picture for Week 28
Well...I don't actually have it yet. We had family pictures taken and while we were there we got a couple of pictures of just Nathan and I. I'm counting those as Week 28 although I don't have a digital copy yet.

Picture for Week 29

For Christmas, we also got several items for baby Salt. A sweet awesome Star Wars ABC book,a cute pink fuzzy outfit from my Grandparents McKernan, and some baby necessities from the Buffingtons!

Thanks everyone!!!!

Week 26

Here's to another week. Once again, not a lot has happened this past week. I have realized how extremely blessed I am to have the friends and family I have. We have already received so much for our baby and she still has several months to cook. I think it's funny that some people hate it when others will touch their stomachs. I, however, LOVE to have people touch mine, especially when baby Salt is kicking. It's so fun for me to see how excited other people are that I'm growing a baby inside of me and my way to give back is to a allow a nice big belly rub. And that is certainly true, the big belly part. Everyday I notice my bellybutton getting shallower and shallower. : )

The fun presents that I received this week:
Some ADORABLE overalls from my very spoilingish Grandmother:
I am in LOVE with the little doily's : )

Some really really cute pajama's from my friend Tracy:
I can not get over how cute the little bunny slipper feet are!

And also a really neat sling, from Tracy again, that you can carry the baby in. The woman who makes them is in her ward and you should see all the fun fabrics! There are several ways that you can carry the baby in and I can't wait to use it! It turned out really cute and the inside is soooooooo soft! Thanks Tracy!

We also received a blanket from Nathan's Grandpa Joe and Annette:
Yep, those are pink Dumbo's! : ) It's pretty much Nathan's most favorite thing ever! It's so soft! Thanks!

As you can see, people love babies! : ) Thank you all!

Week 25

Not much is new with us. I am beginning to feel more uncomfortable, mostly because my stomach is getting larger and a little bit in the way. I am also starting to get some little stretch marks. : ( boo. But it seems like everything is going well. She still kicks a lot, mostly after dinner. It's hard to believe, but she is over 2 pounds now! How crazy!!! Time seems to be flying these days!
My sad news of yesterday... I told Nathan that I wouldn't buy any more baby clothes... : (
This was my last baby clothe:
Isn't it darling????

I also found a button for my one buttonless hair bow:

And I found some ribbon that matches the shoes that I bought a while ago:

YAY!!!!

My great story from last week is this:
Nathan's parents bought it for us. And it's EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED!!!! I have been searching and searching for a purple car seat with a triangle handle! I actually found it at a Babies R Us that was in Denver. You see they don't have it at the store in Orem, because for some reason or another the Orem store is one of the smallest Babies R Us's. Which is weird in a place where so many babies are born... Anyways, It's perfect and I absolutely love it! Here are some more pictures for your viewing pleasure:

Thanks so much Salt Parents!!!!!!

I am also getting closer to getting my puppets done. Some of them are a work in progress still...:

Cow
Penguin (my favorite!)
Lion
Bunny Tail
Bunny
Tiger
Cat
I'm so excited for them! I'm pretty much in love with every one of them. : )
